Christmas is approaching with big steps, so here is still the cookie recipe I promised you in the last article.
Maybe this week before Christmas Eve, you'll spend some time for a cozy get-together and try our delicious peanut butter cookies.
We are enjoying a relaxed atmosphere in peace and quiet at the end of the year.
No stressful shopping, no gift hunting, more time for reflection and family.
We feel that this is really good for all of us and exactly what we need when the year comes to a close.
We handle it quite deliberately simple with all the gift giving which we consider mostly way to over-valued.
That does not mean we do not celebrate Christmas, but we make conscious decisions concerning presents.
In our family there will be one present for each.
Nowadays, it is even often hard to come up with a wish.
There is so much abundance everywhere.
Even our big kids did not have an easy time with their Christmas wish.
Sometimes, I recall the times how things used to be when we were kids.
As children, we often went to a small toy shop in our city and flattened our noses at the shop window and imagined what it would be like if we could have one of these toys.
And if one day the wish came true, there was this huge joy.
A feeling that you rarely feel today.
That's why I'm a big fan of minimalism. I rather prefer only a few, but high in quality things than tons of junk which nobody needs.
And I always remember - one of the most precious gifts is time and love.
With this in mind, let the last pre-Christmas days end in peace and let the hustle and bustle pass you by.
At the end of the year, we would like to thank you again for following, reading and commenting on our blog and for trying out our recipes.
Thank you for the positive feedback and the nice notes that reach us again and again.
We look forward to the New Year with you and wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Until next year!
Love Jana & family
