Gray in gray - that is how the last weekend's weather came along.
However, while many complain about bad weather, we used it to do all sorts of things.
Homework with the children, sauna, jogging in November rain and of course experimenting in the kitchen.
Every now and then we have fun making different types of spreads.
Most of the purchased versions didn't really appeal to us yet.
The preparation is quite simple and our youngest son has always a lot of fun.
He loves helping in the kitchen.
His favourite thing is to operate the scale to measure the ingredients.
Today, he will show you his favorite pumpkin seed spread.
Pumpkin seeds are always in stock in our kitchen cupboard.
We use it in bread, on salads, as a small snack in between or as in our recipe today - as a spread.
Pumpkin seeds are rich in A, B and E vitamins, minerals like magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc, and unsaturated fatty acids.
They help with hair loss, kidney problems, irritable bladder or prostate problems.
Here's a little tip:
You can use white fresh raw pumpkin seeds to make a delicious plant-based milk. You only need to mix the seeds with water and filter through a nut milk bag. (You might need a high-speed blender though)
We wish you a wonderful week!
