Banana Chia Pudding - Quick and Easy

Whether for breakfast, on the go, as snack or dessert - Chia seeds can serve it all.

With a job, a house, and three children there is not always much time and often we have to create fast dishes in order to have enough space for all the other great things in life.

I, therefore, welcome recipes with very little or no effort which the kids like.

Like this totally simple and fast banana - chia seed pudding recipe.

Anyone who is not familiar with chia seeds yet...

These are small, dark or white powerhouses.
They belong to the so-called superfoods due to their ingredients.
They contain iron, protein, calcium, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids and and and ....
Chia seeds are also gluten-free.

If you soak the seeds in water, they gel and increase enormously.
Mixed with fruit and non-dairy milk you will get a wonderful pudding, without any animal components.

Banana Chia Pudding - quick and easy

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 bananas
  • 250 ml oat milk or other non-dairy milk
  • some cinnamon
  • if desired add a little bit of a sweetener such as maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and fill it half full in glasses or bowls.
  2. Place the bowls in the refrigerator until the pudding becomes solid (2-3 hours).

Notes:

Your pudding looks even more delicious if you top it with seasonal fruit or banana slices.
Want to have a chocolate chia banana pudding? Just mix in 2-3 tbsp of cacao.
